Crafting[edit | edit source]

Often, where you have a ton of resources and so little BB$, crafting is your only option. To do so, you need several blocks of a base in order to start crafting.

Prerequisite

  • Conveyors
    • These are essentials for moving chunks around to their destination.
  • Silo
    • A place is required to store these chunks. While you can move the chunks over to the destination, storing them would be easier. When a Fabricator is crafting a specific block, a signal is sent to these blocks, pulling the needed chunk out.
  • Desired Corporation Fabricators
    • You need this guy, or you won't get anywhere with fabricating blocks. Specific Corporation crafts their own block.
  • Resource Chunks
    • They are everywhere, with every variety to collect. You need them from each material resource node to craft specific blocks.
    • These can be obtained via destroying their source, and carried either with holding the chunk with mouse, pushed with a plough, or picked up using Collector and delivered to a base receiver.
  • Receiver
    • Unless you fancy dragging each and every chunks with your mouse, you will need this block for picking them up, both on floor and on the collectors if in possession.

Optional (But possibly necessary)

  • Filter Conveyor
    • If you are the type of player that needs sorting of materials or you are avoiding specific resource, the filter conveyor allows filtering of specific chunks, provided you have set the conveyor to that resource.
  • Refinery
    • Refines an unrefined chunk into a refined version. When a Fabricator is crafting a specific block, a signal is sent to these blocks if it requires a refined chunk, causing unrefined chunks that can be refined into the required resource to be pulled to these blocks.
  • Corporation Scrapper
    • Scrapping useless blocks will obtain specific chunks from the scrapped block. You need a specific corporation scrapper for their corporation blocks in order to work.
  • Guard AI
    • Often, Enemy AI can spawn around the base (un)intentionally. It might be wise to have AIs guarding the base while the material is being crafted.
  • GSO SCU Storage
    • When the block is spat out of the opening of the Fabricator, it is ripe for picking. If placed next to a SCU storage, it will get sucked into the storage the moment it comes out.

To be able to craft the blocks on the fabricators, either of the two condition must be met:

  • You must have discovered the block yourself, either via picking it up from the AI, or random chance from Drop Crates
  • You must have reached that corporation's license level.

Deprecated blocks cannot be crafted and will not show in the crafting page, regardless if you have it in your possession.

Symbol < means adding values are lower than block sell price. Symbol > means adding value is higher than block sell price. The order of the resources does not matter.
